United Airlines is taking its Pacific expansion to the next level, announcing new flight routes that will solidify its status as the top U.S. carrier in Asia. With upcoming daily flights to Bangkok, Thailand, and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, as well as an additional second daily flight to Manila, Philippines, the airline is enhancing connectivity for American travelers looking to explore the vibrant destinations of Southeast Asia.

New Direct Flights to Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City

Starting October 26, 2025, United Airlines will become the only U.S. airline offering direct flights to Bangkok, Thailand, and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. These daily flights will operate from Hong Kong, providing convenient one-stop connections for travelers departing from Los Angeles and San Francisco.

  • Bangkok, Thailand: Known for its rich history, street food, and vibrant nightlife, Bangkok is a top travel destination for tourists worldwide. Visitors can explore iconic landmarks like the Grand Palace, Wat Arun, and the floating markets, or indulge in Thai street food such as mango sticky rice and boat noodles.

  • Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam: A dynamic metropolis blending modernity with deep-rooted history, Ho Chi Minh City offers travelers a mix of cultural experiences. From exploring Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon and Ben Thanh Market to enjoying Vietnamese coffee and street-side pho, visitors will have no shortage of experiences to dive into.

More Travel Flexibility with Additional Flights to Manila

United is also boosting its presence in the Philippines by adding a second daily flight between San Francisco and Manila starting October 25, 2025. This expansion provides travelers with both daytime and evening flight options, offering more flexibility for business and leisure travelers alike.

As the only U.S. airline serving the Philippines, United continues to meet the growing demand for travel to Manila. Passengers can explore historic landmarks such as Intramuros and Fort Santiago, shop at the Mall of Asia, or take a scenic trip to Taal Volcano in Tagaytay.

United’s Commitment to Expanding its Asia-Pacific Network

With these new routes, United Airlines will offer flights to 32 destinations across the Pacific, making it the leading U.S. carrier in the region.
