Massive news from Jeddah: Veronafiere Introduces NoLo Wines at the 57th Edition of Vinitaly, Paving the Way for Industry Growth
The world-renowned Vinitaly trade fair is set to break new ground with the official introduction of No-Low alcohol (NoLo) wines at its 57th edition, taking place at Veronafiere from April 6 to 9. The announcement was made in Jeddah during the exclusive masterclass "Italian Grapes Reimagined: an Alcohol-Free Tasting Experience," featuring de-alcoholized wines and zero-alcohol cocktails as part of the promotional tour of the Amerigo Vespucci.
This initiative marks a strategic expansion of Vinitaly’s offerings, reinforcing its role as the leading international platform for Italian wine promotion. Federico Bricolo, President of Veronafiere, emphasized the event’s commitment to identifying and adapting to industry trends:
"Vinitaly has always been a crossroads of innovation, constantly monitoring market evolution to enhance services and opportunities for our exhibitors. This year, we are integrating NoLo wines into the program to open new markets and meet the changing demands of consumers."
Adolfo Rebughini, General Director of Veronafiere, outlined the long-term vision for this initiative:
"This pilot project, spanning from product innovation to education and specialized technology, will become a permanent feature in future editions. Our goal is to complement traditional denomination wines while strengthening Vinitaly’s competitive edge in a rapidly transforming global market."
A Dedicated NoLo Experience at Vinitaly 2025
The 2025 edition will feature two key industry discussions:
- “Zero Alcohol and Market Expectations” (April 8) – A deep dive into consumer demand and market trends.
- “Technology 0.0: Innovation in NoLo Wine Production” (April 9) – A panel on advancements in dealcoholization technology.
These sessions, organized in collaboration with the Italian Wine Union (Unione Italiana Vini) and supported by the Uiv-Vinitaly Observatory, will provide valuable insights into the expanding NoLo segment.
On the exhibition floor, Vinitaly 2025 will introduce a dedicated NoLo Wine Enoteca featuring an exclusive tasting counter, along with a strong presence in the Mixology Pavilion, where NoLo wines will be showcased in innovative cocktail creations.
With this bold move, Vinitaly continues to set the standard for global wine trade fairs, embracing new opportunities while maintaining its commitment to the excellence of Italian wine.
